The mission of Camp Good Days and Special Times is to be internationally recognized as the premiere service organization that enriches the lives of children, adults, and families whose lives have been touched by cancer and other life threatening challenges.
Indeed, CGD&ST has many friends whose love and devotion to its mission enriched the lives of those who came to feel the meaning of loneliness. Ramón Santiago was one of those friends. Sharing the love and keeping the faith with CGD&ST, he gave his time, energy and his talent until his passing in December 2001.
Santiago created paintings and posters for Camp Good Days and Special Times’ capital fundraising campaigns including “Good Days and Special Times” in 1982; “Very Special Times” in 1984; “Teddi Bear” in 1987; “Clown,” in 1990; and “Camp Friends,” in 1994 for their 15th Year Anniversary.
This special fundraising golf event by his family and friends continues the tradition of Ramón’s contributions to CGD&ST.
In the interest of preserving Ramón’s philanthropic tradition of happiness through art, our fundraising events serve to provide the money necessary to support the current arts and crafts program and to achieve our goal of building an Arts and Crafts Facility that will bear Ramón Santiago’s name.
